EB Auction!

So I am going to get serious for just a second, any of you readers who are friends with me on facebook probably saw how sweet Tripp has gone to Heaven. If you didn't see my post, Tripp was an amazing little boy who was born with what I think might be the worst disease a child could get. I'm sure there are worse out there but this particular disease is devestating and painful and there is very little you can do but manage the symptoms and try to prevent infection. Tripp had Epidermolysis Bullosa or EB. EB is a disease in which even the most gentle touch on your skin can cause painful blisters and sores.

Imagine living with constant pain or imagine being a parent and knowing that even hugging your child causes pain. I just cannot fathom the strength that these kids and their parents have. Tripp's mom Courtney has shown so much strength and faith it is amazing and Tripp changed the world!

We took the boys strawberry picking this weekend, they had so much fun and in turn Rick and I had fun. It's funny how that work huh, if the boys are enjoying themselves it is impossible for Rick and I to not be happy, even if we are sweating, carrying huge bags of stuff pushing a stroller through Disney, if the boys are smiling we are good! One of the perks of being a parent I guess.

Anyway back to the task at hand, we took the boys to Spencer Berry Farm on Sunday, I wish we would have gone a week before as most of the strawberries were over ripe and mushy, we managed to get some but they have already turned even in our fridge. So it goes, without further ado, here are the monkeys picking berries....

A while back I purchase a great scrapbooking kit designed by a wife a a guy I went to high school with, I am very envious of her scrapbooking skill, and am making an effort to try harder to preserve our pictures. We take so many pictures that just sit on our computer for no one to enjoy, so this kit was the perfect opportunity for me to try out my new resolution. So here are my first 3 pages....

Easter Weekend was a lot of fun at our house. The Easter Bunny left the boys some fun stuff and of course lots of candy, the boys and their Papa had lots of fun coloring eggs, and Grandma Bern, Re and Dee had fun too!!!

I hate spring...

No really I hate it, I hate the rain, the unpredictable temperatures, but mostly I hate that it is the beginning of hell for my allergies. Seriously I have horrible allergies year round but I can deal with them most of the time, but April/May are by far the worst. Really all the spring blooming should make people happy, it just should, winter is finally over and everything is greening up. It makes you want to be outside, want to make everything look pretty and colorful. I still want to do those things but how much can I get done when I am doped up on at least 2 doses of allergy medicine and my eyes are constantly hazed over because of eye drops.

So there it is people I hate spring!!!!!

The fam and I went to Florida this past weekend, here are just a couple of pictures of the cuties from our day at the beach! We had lots of fun riding on the boat and J got to see some Dolchins (dolphins in J speak) and playing in the sand, wish we could have played in the water, but alas it was still way to chilly!

So What's New

Well almost nothing, that's what, I feel like I am stuck in a rut. I know it is winter, have I ever told you I hate Indiana winters? I mean I know what to expect, and I'm going to be honest, in December I actually like winter, but come February I am done! Winter does this every year to me, just yuck, I am ready for warm and sun!

Boys are doing really well, R is really excelling at school, I worry that he will get bored, I was like that it makes it hard to get through a day when you are bored. I don't want that for him, but also know that gifted programs won't start until he is a little older, not that I know he is gifted, I mean every parent thinks their child is gifted right? I just remember how that was for me until I was moved into the advanced programs.

J is still a constant source of amusement for me, he is such a little clown and will do anything to make you smile. It is like that is what he was given to us for, like no matter what may go wrong, he can make you laugh. I just love that about him. It is funny to see the two of them together, they are so alike but also different as night and day.

The boys start Karate this weekend, I promise to take some pictures and post them it has been forever. Then Saturday we are taking them to their first hockey game, should be a lot of fun, I haven't been to one in forever!

Nothing else is really going on here, starting to plan spring break with the boys, should be fun!

Seroiusly why won't my children nap, don't they understand that I would jump at the opportunity to nap even for 20 minutes heck even 10 minutes would be helpful. But my kids forget it, they flat out refuse. This weekend my mother in law came up and we had a great time, R had a football game, and then we went out to lunch, J fell asleep for like 5 minutes in the car and as far as he was concerned that was his nap. Lucky us!

After lunch MIL and I took both boys to the orchard, cause I was craving some apple cider and fresh apples, they of course were so busy the line to pay at the store was almost to the door to get in. So much fun waiting with 2 crabby boys. It was worth it came home and make apple cake (a great Tastefully Simple one) and then just hung out the rest of the evening.

Big R let me sleep in this morning till almost 8 can you say heaven!!! Made breakfast for the fam and had my cup of coffee and then started laundry, honestly how do 4 people go through so much clothes in one week? It is a mystery to me.

I would love to put up some pictures but the monkeys have hidden my camera dock and since our card reader is broken, they will have to wait!

Better go, Colts game is starting!!! GO HORSE!!!

Okay let's see, I most certainly did not drag my kids all the way to Colts training camp on Saturday so I could get in some much needed football time. I would never drive an hour each way to enjoy something that only I could really enjoy. I mean really does a 2 year old want to watch football practice, I don't think so.

I also did not drag my boys out of the house Sunday morning to take them to the zoo so Daddy could have some quiet time, I mean the like the zoo and all but it was hot and while at the zoo I didn't skip most of the exhibits and jump right over to the splash pad because it was so darn hot out. Nope not me, I also didn't forget to put sunscreen on my youngest while as the splash area.

I also didn't eat out 3 times this weekend because it was so hot and I didn't want to cook/clean after lunch and dinner.

Not Me Monday!

Hmm now lets think this out, I didn't not hear my youngest say Cr&p several times on Friday and secretly laugh to myself after I figured out what he was saying. I also didn't think to myself that if that was the worst he picked up from my potty mouth I am doing pretty good.

I was also not the least bit happy when my washer broke on Thursday. I have not been counting down the days until it would pass so that I could get a new front load washer and dryer. I didn't not secretly hope it would break even sooner. I would never hope to spend money or for appliance to perish.

I also did not eat 2 cupcakes on Friday and indulge in the extra batter that was left when I made them and allow my boys to indulge also. I would never ever give them raw batter with eggs in it, nope not me!

Mother's Day

Well today was Mother's Day, and while I had a great time spending the day with my boys, I realized that no matter how hard I try I tend to get aggravated with my boys. Then I think that I have friends who no matter what they have tried can't get pregnant, or worse have lost babies.

The thought of not having my boys is terrifying for me, I look at women I know who have lost babies at birth, and I can't imagine how I would survive that. I have always thought of myself as a strong person, but when I think of my friends who have had great loss in their life, and I realize that I am not that strong.

So I have decided I need to work on my patience, my faith, and my heart. I need to learn to appreciate my kids and my husband, and my family. I need to learn to be strong. So that is my Mother's Day wish for me, yes it is selfish but it is what I need!

Happy Mother's Day to all us moms out there, whether we are holding our babies, holding out hope, or holding on to memories. May your day be blessed!

Bad Blogger of the Year Award

So I am officially a bad blogger. I can't believe it has be over 2 months since I last posted. Sad to say not much in my neck of the woods has changed. The boys are getting bigger I swear by the minute and at any moment I am afraid J will officially be able to climb out of the crib, I had hoped we would make it till 2 in the crib but no such luck I am afraid. R started T-Ball about a month ago and his first game was last Friday night, I hope to post some pictures tonight. It was so cute. He has another game tomorrow and is excited. It is nice to see him excited about a sport.

I am also contemplating putting the boys in the same room, that would leave our 3rd bedroom for guest/office/playroom. It will be quite an undertaking but one I really want to make as I am tired of all the toys and the computer in the living room plus it will be nice if we have guest if they don't have to sleep in the living room. We shall see.

So lets see what did I not do this week. I certainly did not eat dessert at 3 dinners this week, I would never do that. I also did not lick the brownie batter bowl after telling my kids they couldn't since there was raw eggs in it. Nope not me.

I also did not witness my youngest picking his nose for what seems to be the 1000th time this week and just ignore the fact he was eating what he found, I am not completely grossed out by boogers and wouldn't allow him to do this.

I also did not miss my cousin getting her trophy at her dance recital this weekend, because I could no longer stand being climbed on by a almost 2 year old. I would never miss such a good thing for her. Nope not me.

I'm sure there are many other things I didn't do, but I must now do some other things!

Well I most certainly didn't spend my entire Valentine's day being super lazy yesterday, I have tons of work around the house that needs to be done and would never just blow off an entire day!

I also did not buy my kids Valentine's Day candy with them. I would never not suprise them with what goodies they were getting, nope not me! I also did not tell R that even though he knew what he was getting for Valentine's Day that he couldn't have it until then. That would just be cruel.

I also did not rewash the same load of laundry 3 times because I was entirely to lazy to actually fold the towels in the dryer, and when I finally washed the for the 3rd time, I did not just throw said towels on the floor of the laundry room instead of folding and putting them away. Nope not me!

I'm sure I could go on and on, but I will sign off now so you can go enjoy some other not me's! But I will leave you with a cute picture of my boys just for fun!

Not Me Monday, my favorite thing about Monday's and lets face it Mondays are not my favorite anything. This lovely little idea was created by MckMama , as a way for us to share what we are definitely not doing!

So I did not force my children to put on their match Colts Jerseys and get probably 50 pictures taken yesterday so I could get the perfect shot for our Christmas cards, I have not waited this long because we have a beautiful Bradford Pear tree and because of the unseasonably warm weather the leaves are just now turning and I wanted said pictures under our tree with red leaves not green and not yellow!

I also did not make sure that both my kids we asleep last night before 8:20 pm when the Colts game kicked off. I would never wish for quiet during a game and never would want R to miss watching a game that he loves so much.

I also did not get yelled at by my loving husband for yelling and cursing at the TV during said game and certainly did not get the evil eye from my dog for interrupting her precious sleep. I am a lady and would never take anything as silly and the Colts game silly.

I also would never never never call the Colts vs Pats game silly, it is like the most important game of the year! Well that is true. For me that is the best game to watch! Peyton vs Brady. Peyton takes it every time.

I also did not send mean (only teasing) texts to my sister last night down in Florida who was watching the Colts game at a sports bar down there because she is down their working till after Thanksgiving and I wanted her to not be alone!

Well I most get my bootie to work, as I have played long enough!

Not Me Monday

So lets see what did I or my family not do this weekend. I certainly did not buy 2 bags of Halloween candy and then proceed to not allow my 4 year old to have several pieces of said candy. He hates candy and would never eat on piece before dinner let alone 10. Nope not my kid.

I also did not practically bathe my children in Anti-Bac while they were at their cousins birthday party and a bounce house. I am not paraniod at all and don't worry about H1N1 all the time, nope not me.

I also did not allow my 1 year old to eat a whole box of popcorn at his cousins football game on Saturday just so I could watch the game since I have never seen him play and really wanted to watch not walk around with J. I would never do that.

I also did not allow R to walk around all day yesterday in his new snowboots cause he likes them so much, we never wear shoes in our house. Nope not us.

I also did not tell my husband that if he was cold he could just bundle up cause I was leaving the windows open all day yesterday to try to air out the maple syrup smell that seems to be lingering in our house.

I also am not suffering from my horrible allergies from leaving windows open. I also will not tell my husband that I should not have left the windows open nope not me!

So lets see what have I not done this time. I certainly did not secretly clean and detoy my oldest room while he slept and threw away all broken toys whether he played with them or not and then goodwilled all toys that he didn't play with. I didn't not consult him so I could get rid of more than he liked. Nope I would never do that and I am certainly not doing it to my youngest room this week.

I also did not feed my kids fast food for breakfast lunch and dinner on Saturday, I would never do that I love to cook for my family.

I also did not cry when my son got his football trophey because I was so very proud of him and I am not secrectly wishing it was going to continue because not only did he enjoy it but it did him so much good playing with boys his age.

I also did not count down till bedtime last night, with my Husband gone, I love spending quality time with my boys and would never ever wish the time to go faster so I could maybe have 10 minutes of peace.

I also did not stay up till Midnight last night knowing I would be exhausted this morning because I was watch Slumdog Millonaire and I couldn't tear myself away from the TV.

Living the Dream...

So today I am driving R to preschool and he was lamenting (translated whining) about me not picking him up and how Aunt A picks him up from preschool. He asked me why I had to work and I told him that I had to pay the bills and that Mommy and Daddy like to make sure he has things he likes like TV and warm water. He proceeded to tell me that TV should be free and so should hot water and food. Cause in a warped mind of a 4 almost 5 year old the only thing that is important is playing with Mommy and Daddy. When I told him that without mommy and daddy going to work we wouldn't be able to buy new games for the Wii and new Legos and new Pokemon, he then proclaimed that I must go to work and we will just play when you get home like normal.

Ahh to be young and innocent! I love to hear his priorities!

Let me start with this little doosey! I certainly did not after walking into my oldest room and see chalk all over the walls, first didn't not tell him we don't write on the walls, but if you are going to please only use chalk, I also didn't add chalk board paint to my list for Lowes so that they can have a place to actually use said chalk instead of their little easel. I would never condone writing on our walls. That is absolutely out of the question.

I did not take our oldest to the grocery store and allow him to pick out 2 boxes of donuts for breakfast this week so I could be lazy and sleep and extra five minutes. I would never allow my healthy kids to have donuts for breakfast. I also did not make my family a very yummy breakfast of sausage gravy and biscuits only to not eat it and drive through McDonalds and get a yummy egg mcmuffin instead. I always eat what I make my kids eat.

I also did not allow my youngest child to have small bites of chips yesterday while I was watching football, who gives one year olds greasy potato chips just so she doesn't have to get up and make a healthy snack and possibly miss and important score in her football game. I would never do that.

I also did not put both my kids to bed early so I could watch Sunday night Football with out interruptions and so I could yell and scream at my favorite team with out worrying I would damage the growing brains of my little ones.

I'm sure I didn't do many more things this week but for now that is all I can think of! Enjoy!

Another Weekend Over!

Well another weekend is over and once again I got nothing I wanted to do done. Why is it I make grand plans to get so much stuff done on the weekends, and when I comes down to it, I play with the boys, and do little else? Is it the guilt of having to work during the week and them going to bed shortly after I get home? Is it my desire to just hang out and be lazy, or is it my inner self wanting to be doing anything except sorting through toys, clothes and just junk that needs to be sorted before Christmas and Birthdays bring more toys, clothes and junk. I just don't know.

What I do know is that right now, the boys have no room for more toys, I need to find a way to organize what they have and get rid of what they don't play with. My poor house is busting at the seams, and sadly it is my fault. I buy so much for the boys and generally they play with the same few toys over and over again. I just love to see them have fun and new toys seems to do the trick. It seems like we can't leave Target, Walmart or even the grocery store without some sort of new and exciting play thing. So my goal on the weekends is always to sort and dispose of.

Well this morning I had a wonderful idea. R is going out of town this weekend so little R and I are going to go through his toys on Sunday and do a major purge. I am going to try to explain to him about how some kids aren't as lucky as he is and then he and I are going to take all the old toys that are still in good shape to the local women's shelter so the little boys and girls can have gifts to. I am hoping this will work, he is really starting to understand this point so I am praying by next Monday we will be able to walk through his bedroom and maybe just maybe open his closet door. A mom can dream right...Stay Tuned!

So I most certainly did not claim to have an appointment outside of the office and take an early and long lunch only to hang out at the park with some friends of mine from high school and let all the kiddies play. When I am at work, I work and never play hookie!

I also did not allow such kids to play without jackets on while the winds were gusting to like 40 mph and it was only 60 outside, I would never do that I am a responsible parent and wouldn't ever let her kids play when it was that chilly!

I also did not feed little J hot dogs and pickles for dinner 3 nights in a row because not only are the easy but he loves them, I always feed my kids healthy meals and never junk food, like the popsicle R had for breakfast this morning Nope not Me!

I also did not pretend to not hear my little J yelling for me from his bed in hopes his dad would get up and I could maybe sleep in, I was also not at all disappointed when J trotted into our room after daddy got him up. I would never not want to get up and play with my kids!

Just not feeling it today!

Do you ever have a day where you just don't feel it? What is the IT? I am having one of those days today. I don't know, I am just in a funk I guess. I don't want to work, I don't really want to be at home either... It is always very puzzling to me when I have days like this, I'm not tired or stressed or have any other ailment ailing me, I just want to do nothing. Tonight I am going to go home and try and get some stuff done around there. I am in desperate need of a house cleaning and laundry is as usual piling up! So maybe just maybe by the time I leave the office today the funk cloud will lift and I will have some not energy but urge to do something, otherwise the house will be one day more dirty, the kids will have more laundry and I can only hope for a better day tomorrow!

Not Me Monday, one of my favorite things about Mondays! It was started by a wonderful mother and and inspiring womand MckMama! Enjoy.

It was not me who in tired end of her wits mode, that just put her one year old in his bed when it was neither bed time nor nap time just to try and get the house picked up, no I would never do that, I am a responsible parent and our house never gets dirty.

It was also not me who felt like she did so much yesterday yet the house still needs to be cleaned and our sheets washed, but the clothes are clean so I am feeling accomplised!

It was also not my youngest who stayed up till 1130 on Saturday night because we were at a friends house and I wasn't ready to go yet so he simply played with their cat all night long after their children went to bed, I would never be that irresponsible and not stick to bed times!

It was also not me who cried a little when her oldest scored a touchdown at football on Saturday and realized that he isn't so little anymore. I would never let time pass so quickly! It was also not me who at said football game allowed her one year old to eat almost a full box of popcorn right before lunch. Nope Not Me!

It was most certainly not me who arranged my kids nap schedule so I could make the most of the Colts game yesterday, I would never move their schedule their naps so I could actually watch something other than Noggin!

It was also not me who gave my kids KFC for dinner last night instead of the healthy meal I had planned for, because I watch said Colts game and didn't fix dinner, I would never be that irresponsible.

It is not me who is not so patiently waiting for her husband to get back in town, not so much because I miss him terrible (which I do by the way) but because I would love to have just 20 minutes by myself. I mean I would never not want to spend time with my children.

It was also not me who allowed my son R to have doritos and nacho cheese for 2 snacks yesterday and also 2 more on Saturday, I would never be that lazy to fix them a healthy snack!

Vacation in Winding Down

Well what a whirlwind few days we have had, if you follow me on twitter you can see we spent this weekend at Disneyworld as a surprise to Mr. R. He was so excited when we pulled in to the resort! We had a blast riding all the rides and seeing all the characters. We went to breakfast with Mickey on Sunday and got lots of autographs! J-man is not a big fan of the characters! We went to Naples on Sunday and will head home tomorrow. Have spent the last few days playing at the pool and just relaxing! It has been great fun, but oh I am ready for my own bed again. Well J is waking up so I better run!

Well we head off on vacation this weekend, I am super excited more excited yesterday than before since we decided we will be taking the boys to Disney for 3 days! Fun Times ahead stayed tune!

So this is my first Official not me Monday!

It was certainly not me who allowed my one year old to have a full sippy of iced tea yesterday so he would stop leaving floaties in mine. Nope I would never give my children caffine.

It was also certainly not me who while I should be working today is creating and posting to a blog instead of say catching up on her very behind work.

And it was definatly not me who allowed my children to watch Yo Gabba Gabba for 3 episodes because I enjoy watching them dance to the music. Nope not me!
